VanderWall testifies in favor of bill that would reverse deer baiting ban

LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Curt VanderWall, R-Ludington, (right), along with musician and hunting enthusiast Ted Nugent and Rep. Michele Hoitenga, testified on Tuesday before the House Government Operations Committee on House Bill 4687, Hoitenga’s legislation that would enhance hunting activities in the state.

VanderWall introduced the same measure, Senate Bill 37, in the Senate. The legislation would reverse the Natural Resources Commission ban on baiting and feeding deer in the entire Lower Peninsula.
