On March 1 and 2, Sen. Curt VanderWall, R-Ludington, and Ivan Paciorka, a sophomore at Leland Public School in Leland, attended the Michigan state finals of Poetry Out Loud (POL), a national poetry recitation competition for high school students. Paciorka was one of three state finalists from the 35th Senate District at the Lansing event.
